Due Process Media is a video production group based out of Austin, Texas.

We work with legal teams and civil rights organizations to produce documentaries that:

• Humanize clients through cinéma vérité, archival material, and intimate interviews with family, friends, and informed experts.

• Clarify complex legal facts with clear visual storytelling.

• Strengthen mitigation and sentencing strategies with persuasive, empathetic narratives that center character, trauma, rehabilitation, and community support.

• Support appellate and post‑conviction work through interviews and corroborating visual records to support legal claims such as prosecutorial misconduct or excessive sentencing.

• Mobilize public opinion, community stakeholders, and influencers by producing shareable shorts.

Video has the power to convey emotional truth and weave complex materials into a powerful story. Our work can support mitigation, public education, organizational communications, and litigation-related storytelling while respecting attorney-client confidentiality and litigation strategy.

We understand that legal work requires a different approach to documentary filmmaking. We bring years of experience working alongside attorneys and social workers who have helped us refine our own best practices. Client privacy, informed consent, confidentiality, and the needs of the legal team come first.

Based out of Texas, we believe this work is especially important in a state where a “tough on crime” stance obscures unchecked state power, producing the largest prison population and number of death penalty executions in the U.S. While we are based out of Texas, we are available to travel for capital and non-capital cases anywhere throughout the U.S.
